FWA chose to present California facts, the importance of agriculture to our local communities, water, farmers and conservation, and the fishery resources, with special emphasis on the state of the chinook salmon and the fish screen program.

Over 500 students attended the event held at the Colusa Ashley participating in the team penning competition.fairgrounds. This is a great event and a way to directly make contact with school age children on issues that will truly affect their rural lives.

Later in the evening, Ashley participated in the team penning event of the Colusa Western Days. Shown at left on her mighty steed, Ashley prepares herself for alot of fun, laughs, and fast paced action. Ashley looks forward to participating in the event on an annual basis.■
