Join the Opposition to the BSM NCA

Supporters of the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Conservation Area (BSM NCA) are back stronger than ever. As Family Water Alliance has reported, we are in opposition of such a land designation and will continue to fight against the measure. A proposal to establish a National Conservation Area for over 500,000 acres in rural Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Napa and Solano counties is drawing opposition from those whom the designation will effect.

It has been reported that Congressman Mike Thompson may be willing to author the bill for the designation, but it is our goal to show that many locals are opposed to the measure. The campaign to designate the BSM NCA is spearheaded by Tuleyome and has ranchers, private landowners, county government officials, recreational and resource based groups and OHV users in the region are voicing strong opposition to the proposal.

Family Water Alliance has been reaching out to those who oppose the proposed NCA. We are committed to protecting the private property rights of the rural residents of the affected counties.■
